Mole and Vole Control Maine

Call Dave

Lawn Damage Showing Up Overnight?

If you're seeing raised tunnels, damaged grass, or areas of your yard that seem to be dying, moles or voles may be the cause.

I'm Dave with King Pest Solutions, and I help homeowners throughout Central Maine and beyond identify and address mole and vole activity.

What's the Difference Between Moles and Voles?

Although they're often confused, they're very different pests.

Moles

Moles tunnel underground and feed on insects and worms. Their tunnels can damage lawns and landscaping.

Voles

Voles are small rodents that feed on plants, roots, bulbs, and vegetation. They can cause extensive damage to lawns and gardens.

Signs You May Have Moles or Voles

You may have activity if you notice:

  • Raised tunnels in the lawn
  • Soft spots under the grass
  • Dead patches of turf
  • Damaged garden plants
  • Gnaw marks near the base of plants and shrubs

Why They're a Problem

Moles and voles can cause significant damage to:

  • Lawns
  • Landscaping
  • Gardens
  • Decorative plants
  • Young trees and shrubs

The damage often becomes more noticeable as populations increase.

How I Address Mole and Vole Problems

My approach focuses on:

  • Identifying the pest responsible
  • Evaluating the extent of the activity
  • Recommending treatment options
  • Helping reduce future damage
